FHA Illegal Revocation – Site

The Managing Director of Federal Housing Authority [FHA], Mr. Terver Gemade appears to have found himself drowning in troubled waters. According to information recently made available to 247ureports.com through a source close to the activities at the presidency, the FHA boss maybe engaged in a battle of his political career as he struggles to clear the numerous queries served his person by the Chief of Staff to the President.

According to the source, the FHA boss was recently invited for a ‘hot’ query by the Chief of Staff following practices reportedly engaged by the FHA Boss in Abuja which the presidency believes involved multi-billion naira land scam.  Particularly, the FHA Boss was invited over his illegal sell of a house belonging to a former military ruler of Nigeria, General Abdulsalami – following a petition drafted by the former head of state and submitted to the presidency. The sale of the home was reportedly done to raise money for the FHA boss and for other political godfather’s operating within the Abuja belt way.

It was learnt the FHA boss who harbors active political interest in his home state, Benue State, is said to been actively seek to join the political line up for the next round of Senatorial race under the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP]. And for this reason has begun amassing the necessary resources against the fete. The source explains that the FHA boss has begun purchases of vehicles and other campaign paraphernalia along with opening of service centers to necessitate the nurturing of a political structure in his home state.

Already, the FHA boss’ men were arrested recently by the FCT police command over illegal revocation of land located at Apo extension 2 – which was re-sold to a construction company belonging to the former governor of Lagos State, Malam Bola Tinubu – and has commenced a joint venture between the former governor – to erect ‘affordable housing estate’. The owners of the said revoked properties sought legal relief by obtaining a court injunction halting construction activities from proceeding. A court granted the relief and gave an injunction order for all construction activities to be halted. But the FHA boss decided to have his partners continue with the construction work at the site. And it resulted to repeated arrests of FHA workers and Tinubu’s men by the FCT police.

The push to amass financial resources has put the FHA boss at odds with his Directors. The directors are presently at war with the Managing Director partly because of his demeanor to the job – and largely due to the MD’s cornering of all the former loopholes available to the director to extort money – or generate money. “The MD is kept everything to himself”, said the source who continued to reveal that each director’s cash approval limit was reduced drastically to N5,000 by the FHA boss without prior warning or explanation. The directors and the FHA boss have remained at daggers drawn.

The ongoing talks within the presidency of possible appointments of new ministers and presidential aides, reportedly unnerves the FHA boss. Information has it that the FHA boss may not be the President’s favorite person to continue to man the FHA top seat. And the FHA boss who is said to be aware of his dwindled personality with the President, has begun lobbying the presidency through persons believed to be close to the President – Dame Patience Jonathan, Diezani Allison Madueke, are said to have been beneficiaries of lands illegally revoked from innocent persons. The lands are said to be used as lobbying gifts.

It remains unsure the effectiveness of the lobbying.
