NEMA today confirms that a 3 storey building Collapsed at 11 Anikantamo street Victoria Island, off Adeniji Adele, Lagos. A woman trapped but rescued. It is being gathered that some residents feared dead, while others are still trapped.
According to eyewitness, the incident happened around 1.pm, the residential building, which was about eight years old, collapsed without giving any signs.
Meanwhile, the site had been cordoned off by security agencies working in collaboration with Lagos State officials, emergency agencies.
Officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority, Lagos State and Federal Fire Services, the Red Cross, policemen and National Security and Civil Defence Corps personnel were seen attempting to rescue the trapped residents.
