$15m Ibori Bribe: Senator Andy Uba Denies Involvement

The Senator representing the south senatorial district of Anambra State, Senator Andy Uba has denied catergorically the recentĀ media publication stating that he hadĀ involvement in the said $15million bribe alleged to have been offered by the former governor of Delta State, Mr. James Ibori to the embattled former Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission [EFCC], Malam Nuhu Ribadu.

According to the publication by some online based news medium,Ā Senator Andy Uba and a oneĀ Chibuike Achigbu had laid claim of ownership over the $15million. The publication continued to add that, “Chibuike and Uba have approached the same federal high court sitting in Abuja to claim ownership of the funds just like the Delta State Government, which maintained that the funds were taken from Delta treasury by convicted former governor Chief James Ibori“.

But Senator Andy Uba, in talking to 247ureports.com, stated that he was not involved in the matter. In his words, “I have no hand anywhere“. He pointedĀ attentionĀ ofĀ the mediaĀ investigators toĀ focus more onĀ the persons involved in the matter, including the then lawyer who can vouch for his non-involvement.
