The unabated bloody eight months old oil rich Uzere kingdom, Isoko South local government area of Delta state South-South Nigeria may have taken another dimension as a fresh bloody crisis is said to be eminent in the troubled kingdom.
Uzere kingdom, it would be recalled that eight months ago was thrown into a bloody communal crisis following a peaceful protest embarked upon by the kingdom against Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) which resulted to the alleged killing of some youths by security personnel and the burning of the palace of the kingdom’s dethroned ovie, HRM Isaac Udogri 1, his wife’s provision store and other property worth millions of naira.
Following this development, a new king was amidst jubilation crowned in the person of HRM Henry Ukenukpepia Etuwede 111 having dethroned the former king who is on exile for the past eight months.
The bloody crisis, it was authoritatively gathered from a close source to the dethroned exiled king is not unconnected to planned return of the deposed king to the kingdom which he (Odogri) has vowed to reclaimed his throne at all cost either through violence and force.
As at the time of this report, it was learnt that tension has mounted the kingdom as youths and the kingdom have vowed to resist any attempt by the dethroned king to invade the kingdom to disturb the fragile peace in the area all in a bid to reclaim his purported throne which he has ceased to occupy eight months ago.
The deposed king, it was also gathered to be recruiting some of his loyal subjects and external forces to accomplish his invasion of the kingdom to reclaim his stool.
Recently when the new king was been enthroned by the kingdom’s king maker, Johnson Adanoje who led five other king makers in the kingdom to crown the new king expressed happiness saying that it’s a new dawn for the people of Uzere kingdom and signs of new things to come.
The kingdom described as betrayal, roles alleged played by the king during the kingdom’s protest against SPDC adding that the kingdom’s king don’t stay out of his domain more that some stipulated time as demanded by the kingdom’s customs and traditions.
Meanwhile leadership of the kingdom while calling on the state government and security agents to call to order the former king, aggressively warned against any planned invasion of the kingdom adding that should it happens they will not take it likely with such action.
