The religious imbroglio unfolding in the northern part of Nigeria in Kaduna State appear on a never ending spin as information reaching 247ureports.com through sources near the activities in the Kaduna State government house reveal that four time bombs which were undetonated were yesterday found by local farmers in four different locations namely, North Kaduna, Zonkwa, Zangon Kataf Local government Area.
The information collaborated by a local traditional ruler in one of the communities in northern Kaduna – recalls that Zonkwa which is located in southern Kaduna experienced the bloody killings following the 2011 post-election where over 500 people were reported killed by protesters believed to be members of the General Buhari led Congress for Progressive Change [CPC] – which was the losing party in the presidential elections.
As gathered, the traditional ruler along with the local farmers from the communities in talking to 247ureports.com noted that the discovery was a first time for their community. This they said while adding that the dreaded Islamic terrorist group, the Boko Haram had threatened to bomb Southern Kaduna following a successful outing last week Sunday when the group bombed three churches in Zaria and Kaduna.
The residents of the community pointed that the bombs components which were discovered in four different locations were strategically placed in locations along pathways where church worshipers would normally follow to their places of worship. According to the words of resident of Zonkwa, “the Bombs components were kept in strategic locations along the path to several churches. By God’s luck, the components of the bomb were discovered by local farmers who were on their way back from farm.”
It is gathered that the community leaders alerted the men of Operation Yaki – who took over the operation of diffusing/detonating the bombs. Meanwhile, the Kaduna Police spokesman, Aminu Lawan disclosed to our correspondent that the police was not aware of any bomb discovery. An army personnel positioned in Zonkwa who did not want his name mentioned confirmed that the men of Operation Yaki were on the scene and are presently combing the bush for more bombs.
