Ahead of the Anambra South Senatorial election rerun scheduled to old on 17th March 2012, the candidate of people’s Democratic Party PDP Senator Andy Uba has expressed optimism of victory, saying that he has an edge over his opponent Chief Chuma Nzeribe of All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA in many fronts.
Senator Uba who spoke to Newsmen at the Rejonmy Games Villages Oba on a visit to the village at the weekend said he has no fear looking ahead of the elections as he stands to be a far better choice of the electorate than the candidate of APGA in terms of popularity and antecedents.
“You can’t compare both of us, and I can assure you that the election is definitely going to be an easy ride for me, I have no doubt or fear about it”. The former presidential guide maintained.
The Uga born politician who reflected on Ojukwu’s burial also dismissed issue of other candidate going for the 17thMarch election in the name of PDP saying that he is he authentic and only candidate of PDP for the Anambra South Senatorial Poll.
On Ojukwu burial, senate Uba said that the Federal Government approval of state and military burial for the late Biafran War Lord are sings of president Goodluck Jonathan’s love for the Igbo.
He paid glorifying tribute to president Jonathan for visiting Nnewi to witness the burial of Ojukwu live noting that the family of Ojukwu in Particular and the Igbo in general are very happy with Mr. President on his role at the burial
