Benue: Rev. Ikyaan Declares For Governorship Race Under PRP

As parties round up their primaries ahead of 2019 general elections, Rev Frederick Ikyaan has declared his intentions to contest for the seat of Governor of Benue State.
Ikyaan who declared under the platform of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) held a rally where he is the consensus candidate said “I am willing to avail myself for God to use me for this purpose”.
Speaking during his public declaration, in Makurdi today, Ikyaan said his decision to contest had arisen from a deep sense of responsibility and humility that depends completely on God and to rescue the rich agricultural state from the jaws of poverty
He said he was dissatisfied with the inability of past governments in converting the fortunes of Benue into greater benefits for the people in the state in particular and Nigeria at large.
He called on Benue people to support him to win the election next year saying he will take Benue to the next level by partnering with agric research institutes for the purpose of sponsoring researches that are related to the Benue need and development.
He also promised to tackle in security, infrastructural decay as well as create employment for the teeming Benue people to curb social voices among the youth.
“As a minister of the Gospel, I hope to bring light to the arena of Governance in the state. A single term of four years is sufficient to propel Benue to an enviable height. So I invite you to join hands with us in restoring the dignity, sense of purpose and significance of our state”, he added.
