Ilorin Water Scarcity: Vote Out APC, ACPN Urges Nigerians
The National chairman of Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN) Alhaji Ganiyu Galadima, has said that despite Billions of Naira allocated for water reticulation in Kwara state, Indigenes of Ilorin are still have to queue everyday to get water from water tanker.
Galadima believe that the state has been unlucky of good leadership since the returned to democracy in 1999.
In a telephone conversation with newsmen on Wednesday, the ACPN boss who contested presidential election against President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015, urged Nigerians to come out en-mass for collection of Permanent Voters Card (PVC) to exercise their franchise in 2019.
The Kwara born politician also posted on Facebook account pictures of Ilorin indigenes on a long queue to collect water from a water tanker.
According to him, “Ilorin has become a city where the people are made to queue for water from a water tanker. This is coming after 15 years of endless water reticulation involving billions of Naira.
“Is it going about with tanker the solution to a recurring problem? What happened to the billions allegedly spent on reticulation? Why is the Governor and his co-travellers suddenly coming up with water tankers at the twilight of the administration?” He asked.
While calling on citizens to speak up against bad leadership in the state, Galadima said “the state is stagnant and the people are suffering. No dividend of democracy at all. We are not lucky with leaders.
“The way forward is to use your vote wisely by voting out deceit in 2019. Your vote is your only instruments of charge. Open your eyes,” he said.
