The convener, Coalition for Nigerian Movement (CNM), in the South-East Zone, Chief Ralphs Okey Nwosu, has urged Ndigbo to support the movement towards voting out President Muhammadu Buhari from office in next year’s general election.

He warned that there was no hope for Igbo man in the All Progressives Congress (APC), saying there was no way Buhari would transmit power to Ndigbo in view of the structure in APC where all security chiefs, national public officers, appointment, among others was not in their favour.

Speaking yesterday in Awka during the zonal meeting of CNM, Nwosu who is the National Chairman, African Democratic Congress (ADC), lamented what he called the lackadaisical attitude of South-East Politicians, particularly governors who have turned beggarly to Aso rock looking for contracts, juicy positions and other favour.

He accused the APC government of perpetrating carnages and wanton destruction of property in the country.

“The meeting is a wakeup call for Ndigbo to dump APC and collaborate with CNM which is the best alternative for their rescue from poverty, hunger, recklessness and ethnic cleansing in the hands of the Hausa/Fulani marauders.

“Every Nigerian leader is very much embarrassed with the state of the nation where people are attacked, killed, raped and made refuges in their homes.

“We can condemn, but most political leaders must advocate action against these senseless killings and seek how to design a new democratic action plan to ensure we take care of this conundrum democratically, and say enough is enough.

“If unchecked these unethical activities will lead to the destruction of the country. It does not augur well for Nigeria’s development,” he said.

Speaking on the CNM objectives, the convener said the movement among others was to ease out Buhari out from Aso villa democratically in 2019, also to ensure that a new value, vision government is installed.

He recalled that prominent Nigerian personalities including Generals Gowon, IBB, Danjuma etc have all spoken and condemned the killings and destruction in the country.

“If these people can say that the nation need to be saved from these calamities, the South-East geo-political zone must add their voice to the clarion call,” he added.
