The purported suspension of Mr. Dan Igbokwubili, the President General of Obosi Development Union (ODU) as reported in some of the print/electronic media recently has been quashed, therefore somersaulting the said suspension as those who are accused to have crooked theĀ  purported suspension has been adequately suspended in line with the constitution of the Obosi town union.

In a letter addressed to the Special Adviser to Governor Obiano on Town Union Matters and made available to Journalists in Awka yesterday, it was confirmed that a committee was set to review the said crisis which led to the ugly development. The committee, according to report, came up with resolution that those who were behind the suspension saga played to the gallery of the self sponsors.

Risen from a meeting in the town hall of the community at the weekend, Dr. Ike Anireh, Mr. Okey Okafor, Nze S. O. Ejikeme, Hon. Molokwu T.C, Ike Okoma and Chidoka Ifeanyi, dawn from all the quarters that made up the community revisited the suspension saga even as they faulted the purported suspension of the town union president and recommended for the immediate suspension of Mr. Emeka Chudeā€™s led faction of the town union.

It would be recalled that Sir. Dan Igbokwubuili, the President General of Obosi Development Union (ODU) was recently relived of his position on the alleged misappropriations of public fund. And in fighting back to redeem his glory, sound people with sound minds according the embattled President General, met and described his suspension as illegal.

Sighting Article 16.6 of the Obosi Development Constitution, the committee however directed Igbokwubili to select a committee to investigate the matter behind the crisis in the town union leadership with a view of restoring peace and tranquility in Obosi Ukwula kingdom.

Among those suspended by the Central Executive Committee for dereliction of duty and anti-union activities are Emeka Chude-1st Vice President, Ikeokwu Vicent-2nd Vice President, Francis Ogbogu 3rd Vice President, Monago Joel 4th Vice President and Mgbemena Joel Assistant Secretary General.

Others are: Ozuwulu Godwin Uche- Financial Secretary, Eneanya Obiechina- Publicity Secretary, Eeugo Odibe- Internal Auditor 1, Nkembuofor Kenneth- Internal Auditor 11, Christian Chuke-Legal Adviser 1. Chukwuemeka Iredu-Legal Adviser 111, Nnamdi Ejiofor-Provost Marshal, Ivan Okafor- Provost Marshal 11,Anowi Azubuike Provost 111, Emeka Offiaji-Social Secretary and Nelson T. Chigbo- Assistant Social Secretary.
