Following the chapel’s congress held on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at the Kaura plaza along Jos road, where issues surrounding the arrested and detention of its member Hir Joseph of Daily Trust over a report on Chibok girls protest in Lafia was exhaustively discussed, congress resolved as follows:
1.The Police and media have had a fruitful working relationship over the years in the state and wondered why the Police had not leverage on the relationship to resolve differences.
 2. Congress condemns the unlawful arrest and detention of Mr. Hir Joseph for more than Nine hours on Friday, May 9, 2014 over the report on the protest of the abducted Chibok school girls.
3. Congress agreed to boycott all police functions pending when the Police tender an unreservedly apology to the journalist for his arrest, detention and torture at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Lafia.
