PDP Suspends Two Nwoye’s Men Over Attacks On Metuh

The ding dong affair and political subterfuge going on within the ranks of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP) especially regarding the various pronouncements over whether the party will participate in the proposed Nov 30 supplementary election in the state has yesterday afternoon eventually swept off two principal officers of the party’s governorship candidate, Tony Nwoye.

The suspension of the two officers-Prince Victor Osita Ezenwa who was until now the Director General of Nwoye’s campaign organization and Chief Kenneth Arinze who was the organization’s director of Protocol, was announced at a press conference in the party’s office in Awka after a meeting of an enlarged organs of the party in the state.

The removal of the duo was announced by the state chairman, Ken Emeakayi after the decision was recommended and ratified by both the State Working Committee and the State Executive Committee of the party respectively yesterday.

He told journalists that the action was sequel to Chapter 10:57(3) of the party’s constitution and code of ethics for members.

More so, he added, they would be further subjected to the party’s disciplinary committee.

Some of their offenses, Emeakayi stated was have fed the national and the international public with unauthorized publication disparaging some national officers of the party without reason.

He therefore warned all member of the public to disregard any such misleading publications as it was meant to deceive the party supporters.

Emeakayi stated with emphasis that, “we unequivocally reaffirm our resolve and readiness to actively participate in the proposed supplementary election by the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC), as already directed by the party’s headquarters.

“We also pass an implicit vote of confidence on Chief Olisah Metuh, the national Publicity Secretary of our great party, the PDP”, the state chairman pointed out.
