Anambra Election: INEC To Conduct Supplementary Election Between PDP and APGA

Information available to 247ureports.com indicates that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the recently concluded gubernatorial exercise  as being inconclusive. The announcement came today from the INEC indicating tbat a supplemental election will be conducted in some parts of the state.

Specufically, the INEC indicated the supplementary elections will be conducted in parts of Anambra – such areas as Anambra West LGA, Anambra East LGA, Idenmili North LGA, Awka North LGA.

The supplementary election which will held between the PDP candidate, Tony Nwoye and APGA candidate, Willie Obiano has yet to be scheduled or dated by the INEC. The date of the supplemental election has yet to be announced.

Meanwhile a top level staff of INEC pointed the fault for the failure in Anambra to technical clitches caused by INEC’s decision to use youth corpers as supposed to INEC staff to conduction the election. The top level staff stated that it is easier to compromise youth corpers – who are not afraid to lose their jobs. “The election was conducted with NYSC member who committed technical blunders. INEC staff members would have been better”.
