Ngige Flags Off Gubernatorial Campaign

The gubernatorial candidate of the All progressive Congress (APC) will tomorrow formally flag off his campaign to return to the Government House Awka in the Commercial City of Onitsha.

All APC governors .numbering eleven are expected to grace the occasion, while over 30 senators of the party have indicated confirmed plans to attend the event.

Senator Chris Ngige is the leading candidate in the race for the governorship seat and the only one whose candidature is undisputed among the four parties in reckoning for the November 16, 2013 contest.

The other three- Peoples Democratic Party, Labour Party and All Progressive Congress are involved in disputes to determine their candidature which are the subject of various litigations.

The flag-off will be attended by all APC governors while over 30 APC senators have confirmed their attendance.

Director General of the Ngige Campaign Organisation Chief George Moghalu said yesterday in reference to the event:’It is yet another opportunity to demonstrate to the Anambra State, Nigeria and to the world the large following that Senator Chris Ngige and our party enjoy in Anambra State, as a prelude to the landslide victory the party is working towards on November 16, 2013’’.

Ngige in preparation for tomorrow’s event had last Friday unveiled his ma12-point manifesto and, a compendium on his stewardship in the Senate in an occasion at Awka which served to present his running mate, an two-time ace federal legislator from Anambra West Local Government area of Anambra North Senatorial District, Hon Ralph Udenze Okeke.
