A retired judge of the Imo State High Court (name withheld) is alleged to have taken some members of the Zion Methodist Church Obazu Mbieri to Alaogbaga Shrine of Chokoneze in Ezinihitte Mbaise L.G.A of Imo State over a land dispute.

It is being alleged that the judge, who is reported to be a senior member of the Methodist Church allegedly built his residential house in a land belonging to the said Zion Methodist Church and that the church sued him in an Imo State high Court sitting at Iho in Ikeduru L.G.A. of the state.

Our correspondent who monitored the case at the Alaogbaga shrine said that the said jurist who recently retired from the Imo State judiciary, was sighted at the shrine on the 29th of April 2013 when the matter was first called up for mention at the shrine but that the defendants in the matter did not appear therein.

Efforts to reach the said retired judge on his mobile line number 08033386113 proved abortive as the line rang without any attendance. Also as at press time, there had not been any reply to a global service mobile text message sent to the said mobile line calling for the judge’s own side of the story.

The matter at the shrine is reported to have been adjourned to a later date for further mention.
