A frontline politician and Chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
in Isiala Mbano Local Government Area in Imo state, Chief Tony-Black
Nduka has taken a swipe on his party, the Peoples Democratic Party
(PDP) and his kinsman and immediate past governor of the state, Chief
Ikedi Ohakim for wasting four years without no meaningful development.

Nduka, who is also a former Transition Committee Chairman of Isiala
Mbano, Ohakim’s local government origin and Chairman, Association of
Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON) in the state, however, urged PDP
to apologize to Imo people for wasting the entire four years without
any legacy.

The PDP chieftain, who barred his mind after Gov. Okorocha’s meeting
with stakeholders and leaders of Isiala Mbano LGA at the newly
constructed Sam Mbakwe Expanded Exco Chambers, Government House,
posited “I am here to identify with success and to listen with other
stakeholders the account of one year stewardship of Gov. Owelle Rochas
Okorocha, and with what we have seen in the state and Government
House, I can make bold to say that he has done very well.”

He further said “I am short of words and for being part of the past
administration, I can tell you that I feel ashamed of PDP. I am saying
this because people know that I was part of that government and with
what I’ve seen today under Gov. Okorocha just within one year, I can
tell you truly that I am ashamed because I am a man that doesn’t hide
my feelings. I worked with the past government for four years and
nothing was achieved, now look at this edifice called Sam Mbakwe
Expanded Exco which by all ramifications is world class and
technologically equipped hall. You cannot imagine that this is where
we left one year ago and the place is totally transformed to the
extent that most of us couldn’t recognize it.”

He described Gov. Okorocha as an agent of transformation with midas
whose ability to develop and place Imo in the map of progressive
states in the country has been proven beyond doubt, adding that with
the vision of the governor, Imo will regain its place of pride in
Nigeria.

The PDP chieftain explained that when he was invited for the meeting,
some people attempted to discourage him from attending on partisanship
ground, but he resolved to identify with the governor that has truly
come to rescue the state.

“When they invited me for this meeting, some people called and asked
me not to attend. Yes, I am a PDP stakeholder, but I realized quickly
that I entered into a party to win election and solve the problems of
our people, but unfortunately we secured the victory and could not
solve any problem of our people and somebody under one year has been
making this kind of progress and someone is expecting me not to
support him. No! I must support Gov. Okorocha because he is truly on
a rescue mission and above all, he is sincere to Imo people” Nduka
concluded.
