Xmas: Police Ask Kano Residents Not To Panic

The Kano State Police Command wishes to inform the general public that as Christmas and New Year festivities are fast approaching, adequate security deployment and arrangements are made towards peaceful and secured festivities. Improved security machineries are put in our places  of worship, Motor Parks, Markets, Roads, Shopping Malls, Recreation centers and all Public places to ensure safety of lives and properties across the State. Both covert and overt operatives were deployed strategically to forestall unwarranted situation. We therefore call on members of the general public to support and cooperate with the police and all other security agencies in achieving these prime objectives. The following advices are proposed for compliance:

A warning against unlawful use of fireworks popularly called bangers or knockouts, burning of tyres by youths before, during and after Christmas and New Year celebrations. Parents and Guardians are to inform their wards as the command will appropriately deal with whosoever disregards the law.

Road users should continue to abide by all traffic-rules and regulations and exhibit discipline by avoiding Car racing, unsecured loading and operating unserviceable vehicles.
4.
Each and every person in the State is advised to be security conscious of his immediate environment and report any strange person(s) or item(s) to the nearest Police Station for necessary action, or call our emergency telephone lines as follows: 08032419754, 08123821575, 08075391163 and08099831808 to report any incident.
