The secret memo ordered and warned the CSO to released all police officers attached to the government house at Ado Ekiti to report at Department of Operations [DOPs] on or before July 12, 2018. The secret memo proceeded to instruct the CSO that only him [CSO], the ADC and 5 other police officers are to remain at the Ekiti government house.

It is recalled that yesterday the Nigeria police manhandled the Governor of Ekiti State, Peter Fayose following his attempt to lead a procession of supporters into the government house to have the PDP gubernatorial candidate address the crowd gathered the government house. The police officers who had blocked the entrance into the government house refused to take orders from the Chief Security Executive of the State [the Governor] – and instead responded in the contrary by telling the Governor, “Governor my foot” before slapping the Governor and then teargassing him.

The Inspector General Of Police, Idris had indicated about 30,000 police officers were deployed to Ekiti State against the gubernatorial elections of July 14. Ekiti State has an official population of  2,398,957 [according to 2006 census] – which yields to a ratio of 1:80 … police to each person in Ekiti.
