His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, has approved a number of Ecological Fund Intervention Projects for the 4th Quarter of 2016. The approved projects which are spread across the 6 Geo-Political Zones of Nigeria are located in 11 States. The projects and their various locations are listed below.
in Suru, Bagudu and Shanga
Areas.
Petrochemical Company (Phase II).
Township.
Ogbagba Rivers in Osogbo Township.
Works, Odukpani Local Government Area.
Refinery (Phase II).
Yadzaram Training (Phase I).
Bogoro Local Government Area and in Gadon
Toro/Market Road, Toro Local GovernmentArea.
Idemili Local Government Area.
Gully Erosion Control Works at FederalGovernment
College, Itobi.
2.The execution of these projects will address the challenges of gully and soil erosion, incessant flooding and air pollution that has ravaged the impacted communities and caused loss of lives in certain instances. When these projects are completed, the sufferings of the affected communities will be ameliorated. There will be increased food production which will stimulate the economy and lead to the creation of jobs.
