JOINT NIGER DELTA LIBERATION FORCE (JNDLF)

Press Statement
We are constraint to let the cat out of the bag today that President
Mohammadu Buhari should be wary about the security of this country as
some military men are making move to remove him from power by
instigating civil unrest in the country. Some top military men through
their civil agents approached us to cause and continue the
vandalization of the oil and gas pipelines in the Niger delta region
so as to use as an excuse to take over the government from democracy
to military rule in the country.
We said no as such plan will not work and not in conformity with our
genuine desire of agitation. The military want to disgrace him now and
let him quickly look into the
issues and make pronouncement for his administration to be in peace.
Let the president should analyze certain memo from the military
concerning Niger delta region before taking action or otherwise the
military will use that as a platform to remove him.
We know the issue of Niger delta is political and we preferred
political solution to resolve it but if the president refused…..
We strongly advise the President to look and take holistic approach to
solve the Niger delta problem.
Since some military men want to use various agitation in the country
and the president’s probing of the military which they said it exposes
the respected uniformed personnel to disrepute and ridicule them
before the civilian populaces.
“We received several caller unknown to persuade us to continue the
bombing and that when succeeded in overthrowing the government we will
be place on a better position, we said capital NO! When asked of their
names they are above Major General’s level. They refused to disclose
their names but their intonations seem like Yoruba and Hausa.
Our agitation is not for selfish interest but for the overall benefit
of the Niger delta region. We’ll not kidnap any person, kill or
hostage taking of any expatriate in the country but will continue our
agitation with clear determination to actualize our course in Nigeria.
“They said are you people happy and comfortable with the present
administration in the country? Infact we were speechless but had the
courage to response to them that we are OK with our agitation and not
by meddling with military matters but have the capacity in-conjunction
with our foreign partners to launch any attack any where in the
country but not their crude plans. They should fight their own battle
and not by using us as self cover to takeover Buhari’s government in
the country.
We believe their sinister plan because their is ceasefire in the
region for dialogue, but since then the attitude and actions of the
service chiefs shows that such plan could work for them. It is sad
that when there is ceasefire from us the military with the directive
of the the Chief of Defence Staff in engaging of bombing of innocent
communities and raping young girls and women because they (military)
are so distance with their families hence they forcefully raped women
in the villages. In the north no Emir or villagers to produce their
terrorists and was embarrassed in course of Boko Haram terrorism in
the north east and this should be stopped forthwith against any Chief
and innocent Niger Delta people. No amount of threat or intimidation
by the Federal Government will stop our agitation. They begged when we
wanted to launch our missiles, so they should stop attacking innocent
people or else….
President Mohammadu Buhari should as a matter of urgency implement our
demands immediately which include:
Our demands include:
1.      Immediate release of the former National Security Adviser
(NSA), Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd.) and Dr. Nnamdi Kanu, whose releases
was pronounced by the court severally and their continue detention is
unconstitutional and against the tenet of our nascent democracy in the
country.
2.      Direct EFCC to defreeze the bank accounts of ex-militant
leader, Government Ekpemupolo, (a.k.a. Tompolo)
3.      The only Nigerian Maritime University sited in the most
appropriate and befitting place – Okerenkoko in Delta State, must
start the 2015/2016 academic session immediately.
4.      The immediate implementation of the report of the 2014
National Conference report, failure of which Nigeria will forcefully
break-up.
5.      Oil-polluted lands in the Niger Delta must be cleaned up,
while compensation should be paid to all oil-producing communities,
e.g. Chevron fire outbreak of gas explosion in Koluama, Bayelsa state
and Bonga Oil Spill in 2011.
6.      Removal of Brigadier General Paul Boroh (rtd.) as an Amnesty
Coordinator who is naïve about the programmes and policies and does
not know the grassroot. Hence he (Boroh) should be re-placing with Dr.
Felix Tuodolo who has been in the struggle of non-violence since 1980
and the designer of the Amnesty programme, as this will stall further
vandalization of pipelines in the region.
7.      Why all these attacks on oil and gas pipelines in the region
is that the Pharaoh of Nigeria (Buhari) made a childish statement
that, he will develop those areas that gave him 95% votes during his
presidential election last year. We the Niger Delta people only gave
him 5% hence we vowed that our oil money will not be use for the
development of any other region. The President should change his mind
set towards the region, if not this will continue.

On Junaid Mohammed, it is only people that does not know him that will
response to his careless talks in the polity. If North owns the oil,
why is he not in the Niger delta region to stop the bombing? Junaid
was removed from the defunct OMPADEC over fraud due to his gluttony of
contract racketing that led to his sack by then military president.
Since he has been frustrated, he makes all sort of blackmails. Due to
his unguided statements in the country, we will continue to break the
pipelines and see what the north will use to boost again. Considering
the years they(North) have have ruled this country, the
northern region recorded the poorest area in the history of Nigeria.
They have over 9 million beggars who are spread to the other parts in
the country, yet they are not satisfied to rule, so who created the
beggars in all these years? They can’t cheat nature, anytime they use
the resources met for the development of the region to the
disadvantage of the people, the (North) will continue to suffer the
wreath of GOD.
President Muhammadu Buhari came with bad spirit to rule Nigerians, by
avenging against the Niger delta region for not voting him during the
last presidential election that he will not going to treat every
region equally especially the Niger delta region.
Today, the economy is bleeding, who established the Niger delta
Avengers? Is it possible in a sane situation to use the resources to
develop other parts to the detriment of the rightful owners in the
region?
President Buhari has seen the true Avengers, the institution he
created after his oath taking should not complain anymore.
We pity Timipre Sylva, Heineken Lokpobiri and other APC mumu
supporters in Bayelsa state, which for the first time in the history
of Nigeria, were Ambassadorial nominations was made and excluded a
state with key economic value to the nation from the list submitted to
the senate. We think they have seen the true identity of Pharaoh of
Nigeria (Buhari) whose actions and words will not change right from
birth.
Signed:
For and on behalf of the Joint Revolutionary Council
