The Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC] did not attend the supposed Agbaso national convention to monitor the process of electing new officers to the party.

INEC’s absence is believed to imply that the INEC does not consider the Agbaso led group as the authentic APGA faction.

Nonetheless, Agbaso and his group held a short private meeting attended by close associates of the former governor of Anambra State, Chief Peter Obi. The likes of Dubem Obaze was in attendance along with other close associates.
