Artisans, Edo National Assembly caucus and other supporters were said to have pulled resources together to Purchase the APC Governorship Nomination Form for one of the APC Governorship aspirant in Edo, Mr. Godwin Obaseki for the September Governorship Election in the state.
Members of the Edo National Assembly Caucus led by Senate Deputy Minority Whip, and Senator Representing Edo North Senatorial District, Senator Francis Alimikhene speaking to newsmen at the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress after purchasing the form said, “we are here to purchase the ticket for the man we trust that can deliver Edo to the next level and the man is Godwin Obaseki, we believe in him, we trust him and we believe he will be the man to carry on where Comrade Adams Oshiomhole stop.”
Speaking further Alimikhene said “the man Obaseki is a Guru in management of resources and human being, and that is why we members of Edo in National Assembly deem it fit to purchase this ticket along with those who are following him back home; members of House of Assembly, Market women, they contributed this money that use to purchase this ticket for him today.
also speaking, Deputy Minority Whip of the House of Representatives, and Former Edo State SSG, Honourable Parry Iriase,said, Obaseki is meant to stand out from the crowd because of his outstanding programmes and that is why they the Edo Caucus in the National Assembly came as patriots, who know where they wanted Edo to be.
He said “Obaseki is an embodiment of Ideas that would take Edo from the current level to the next level. Obaseki is the midwife of the blueprint to which comrade Adams Oshiomhole donated extreme courage to make Edo what is it today.
“If you are to mention two states that can pay salaries, Edo state is one and if you know what Obaseki wants in terms of Industrialisation, Obaseki is the one who has the blueprint to take Edo State away frm Civil Service State to an industrilised one.
“For the past eight years, this young man has been the chairman of the economic team of Edo State Probono that is free of charge, by his foray into investment banking and business he is a contented man, but what we saw in Edo before Adams Oshiomhole came on board got him thinking, he came over to donate his time his intellect, his rich to make Edo what it is today.
The Edo Caucus promised to campaign for him and their coming to purchase the form is a demonstration of strength, demonstration of loyalty and demonstration of what they believed in.
Other members of the Edo caucus who accompanied Senator Alimikhena are; House of Representatives Member, Honurable, Philip Shuiabu, Honourable Peter Akpatason, and other supporters.
