An elder statesman Wazirin Bauchi Alhamis Muhammadu Bello has yesterday led 33 political parties in Bauchi State including 20 gubernatorial candidates in Bauchi to support the candidature of the People’s Democratic Party PDP Senator Bala Muhammad Abdulkadir (kauran Bauchi) as part of their renewed effort to unseat incumbent Stare governor, Muhammed Abdullahi Abubakar, during the forthcoming elections barely four days before the governorship election.

 

This was the third time Political Parties and Stakeholders were meeting with the aim of unseating Governor Abubakar.

 

The parties, led by an elder statesman, Bello Kirfi, announced their position to support PDP candidate yesterday in Bauchi at the end of their meeting at River edge Hotel Kirfi named the parties in the coalition  includes United Progressive Party UPP, Green Party of Nigeria GPN, Change advocacy Party CAP,All Peoples Movement APM, All Blending Party ABP, Peopoles Democratic Party PDP,  Action Joint Alliance MAJA, ,Advance Peoples democratic Alliance APDA, Grassroot development Paryy of Nigeria GDPN,Accord Party AP,Independent Democrats ID,All Grands Alliance Party AGAP,New Generation Party NGP,Nigeria Peoples Congres NPC, Legacy Party of Nigeria LPC, Mordern democratic Party MDP, New Progressive Movement NPM,  Providence Peoples Congress PPC,  Peoples Trust PT, Advance Allied Party AAP, Alliance National Party ANP, Alternative Party of Nigeria APN, Alliance of Social Democracts ASD,Change Nigeria Party CNP, Congress of Patriots COP,  Liberation Movement LM, New Progressive Movement NPM, Peoples Coalition Party PCP,  Socialist Party of Nigeria SPN, United Patriots UP, Young Democratic Party YDP, and APGA

 

Kirfi said the effort was part of the continuation of their struggle to defeat the Governor and to support one single candidate who has the courage and where withal to defeat Abubakar in the 2019 election and urged people of the state and the stakeholders to support Senator Bala Mohammed.

 

He said people of Bauchi have a lot of confidence, respect for President Muhammad Buhari that’s the reason why they give him their votes again and not because they were happy with happenings in the state because the governor failed to be just and fair to the people of the state.

A former State Chairman of ANPP Alhaji Sani Shehu Sanin Mallam said the candidate they endorsed has all it takes to govern the state and as a son of the soil he will not betray the people of the state he will do his best to justify the confidence reposed in him.

 

PDP gubernatorial candidate who was represented by Alhaji Abubakar Kari thanked the elder statesman Bello Kirfi for providing and exemplary leadership style to the people of the State and pledge to run an all-inclusive government.

Earlier The parties and Stakeholders at the occasion explained  lack of good governance , poverty, the decay in infrastructure, education, health care, environment, mismanagement of state resources  and lsck of development in all other sectors in the statevin the last four years, as some of the factors that necessitated the coalition.

 

The parties said that they had perfected plans to foil an alleged plan to rig the polls, saying they would engage their supporters to protect their votes during the election.

 

Reacting to the development, Abubakar Sufyanu  Al-Sadiqque, Press Secretary to Governor Muhammed Abubakar, we are not afraid with the threat by the coalition , because we believe in Allah and who gives power to whom he wishes and we have high hope he will give it again to Governor Abubakar, and our mandate is not with the coalition but with the people of the state and we are with the people and they will give their votes to Governor Abubakar”

 

He said “We urge the people to vote wisely during the 2019 election like they did in 2015,”
