Some students of Nwafor Orizu Collage of Education Nsugbe, Anambra State who volunteered their opinion while speaking with reporters yesterday said they are irritated to read in some of the national dailies that one of their colleagues, Mr. Oguaju Chinedu committed suicide for the inability of his parents to pay his tuition fees, describing the media report as a dirty script written by those who gruesomely murdered the 400 level student.

Revealing that the killer(s) of the 29-year-old student of the said school had made their social media report ready before they embarked on the barbaric act, the students said immediately their colleague was murdered and his remains hung on the ceiling fan in his room, the murderer(s) hurriedly pushed their dirty action into the social media, calming that the deceased committed suicide.

It would be recalled that the said Chinedu Oguaju whom his name was written in the media as Philip Chiendu was doing his Teaching Practice Programme with the Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe before he met his death in the hands of yet to be uncovered person(s) in his off-campus residence in Nsugbe.

Reacting to the reports published in some of the dailies, some of the students who said it is wicked, fallacy and unprofessional for media practitioners to have failed to show their skill as regards unveiling those behind the murder of one of their colleagues, the students were of the view that it is totally wrong and injurious for media to base their report(s) on police statement, which concluded that their colleague committed suicide.

Barring their respective minds on the ugly incident which took place in a private hostel of the school, the students said the deceased was doing his teaching practice; “and there was no way a teaching practice student who doesn’t pay school fees can committee suicide over N70, 000. 00 tuition fees, we are suspecting that the enemies of good things killed our colleague”, the students unanimously added.

Linking to be the handiwork of the evil ones that took the life of the Eziowelle in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State’s born Chindu Ogauja, the students under the condition of anonymity said the assassin(s) after perfecting their barbaric act had hurriedly pushed to social media, publishing only their victim’s name without his surname which is Oguaju even as the students debunked the rumour making round that deceased committed suicide over high tuition fee.

Calling on the members of the public to discard the media statement credited to the state police command on the hideous incident, the students charged the media practitioners not to allow themselves to be used by any authority to feed the public with falsehood, noting that hence media remains the watchdog in the society, it would be wrong for the same media to cause injury to the citizens.

Efforts made tbo reach the authorities of the Nwafor Orizu Collage of Education, Nsugbe and the parents of the deceased students for comment as at the time of filling this report hit on the brick wall as calls made across to their respective mobile lines kept replicating “not available now, call back later”.
