Information reaching 247ureports.com from a competent source within the Atiku campaign reveal that the lobby for the vice presidential slot for the People Democratic Party [PDP] have reach a feverish pitch as the players and aspirants have upped the stakes. One of the players in the lobby for the vice presidential slot is the former two time Governor of Anambra State, Chief Peter Obi who had served under the All Progressive Grand Alliance [APGA] for eight years before switching to the PDP.

Our source revealed that in the effort to grab the vice presidential slot, Chief Peter Obi took the garnet to the next level. Peter Obi’s distribution of largess comes on the heels of a closed door meeting by failed PDP presidential aspirants which was led by Senate President Bukola Saraki. The meeting which was held recently resolved on handing the vice presidential slot to a former governor – probably from the south east region. But a source who claims knowledge of the meeting revealed to 247ureports.com that the failed aspirant were not advising Atiku with sincerity. “They don’t mean well for Atiku. They want him to fail.” He claims that it is the reason for implying that Peter Obi would make a good fit for the vice presidential slot.

The source indicates that Atiku is better served by choosing a pure technocrat rather than politician. The source tagged Peter Obi as belonging to the past with the corrupt regime of former President Goodluck Jonathan. “We don’t want to go back to those corrupt days”.

Technocrats in the likes of Prof Osita Ogbu, Barth Nnaji, Emeka Onwuka will make a better fit and add value to ticket”.
