Saudis direct role in Nawaz Sharif dismissal, leaked letter revealed

Ahsan Iqbal informed that the removal of Nawaz Sharif was the request of Saudi Arabia because when Pakistan Army dismissed Nawaz Sharif in less than a week when it understood Saudi Arabia does not support him anymore.

Dr. Abdul Karim, Member of the National Assembly of Pakistan stated that a letter from the Saudi Embassy in Islamabad to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Riyadh shows that in a meeting with the Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan, Ahsan Iqbal, Interior Minister of Pakistan, expressed his positive evaluation regarding the participation of Saudi fighter jets in Pakistan aerobatic maneuvers on the occasion of the seventieth Independence Day in Pakistan and appreciated the efforts of Saudi king for attempting to improve and strengthen the relations between the two countries.

In the letter, it is also mentioned that Ahsan Iqbal informed that the removal of Nawaz Sharif was the request of Saudi Arabia because when Pakistan Army dismissed Nawaz Sharif in less than a week when it understood Saudi Arabia does not support him anymore.

Based on this letter, Saudi ambassador to Pakistan reported to the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs that the tone of Ahsan Iqbal shows that Pakistan came to fully understand that Saudi Arabia’s decisions should inevitably be executed and if Pakistani officials do not follow the Saudi orders, they should wait for the consequences.
