The newly Commissioner of Police Bauchi State Command Mr. ‎Garba Baba Umar has vowed to clean up kidnappers, robbery, cattle rustlers and flush out flash point in Bauchi
Baba Umar stated this yesterday when taken over as the new Commissioner of Police posted to Bauchi From the force headquarters Abuja.
He said, “This address also constitute a matching order to armed robbers, kidnappers, fraudsters and their accomplices. You must reform of feel the long reach of the law. We will match you force for force, snare you in our nets which we promise to spread far wide”.
According to him, “we will rid Bauchi State of all vermin and chase all criminals to whatever nook and cranny they retired to”.
The new commissioner called on the people of the state to join hands with the command towards making Bauchi. State a safe haven for all while assuring that during his stay in Bauchi he will try to protect lives, property and rights of everybody with utmost intergrity.
“Be assured of the readiness of the police to contain any threat to life and property. The life of all and every Nigerian is precious and we count it a sacred duty to safeguard same”.
He said rather than reacting aggressively they will be preaching restrain which lies within their power to achieve.
“Let us face our challenges together, and shouldered to shouldered, we will overcome every adversary. We must hold dear our internal values, while subjecting our character to a more stringent definition of honesty and transparency”.
Addressing ‎men and officers, he said, “you, my fellow colleagues of this command are our strongest assets in this our fight against crime and criminality. Just as we stand ready to comment and appreciate viable contribution., we will resist to the utmost, every form of rebellion and treachery. Do not test our resolve to weed out every appearance of compromise and corruption”. He said.
