TheĀ caretaker committee chairman of Okpoko Community Ogbaru Council Area
Anambra State, Hon. Linus Ezenwanma and some members of the local
security in area are today fingered to have conspired among themselves
andĀ  allegedly bungled into a shop and carted away 39 bags of rice

The bags of the rice, according to the owner (names withheld) were
allegedly parked in a shop at Awlite street, Okpoko and after the
closure of his business on the faithful day, unknown person(s)
suspected to be the land armies of the caretaker committee boss
allegedly broke into the shop.

It was authortatively gathered that the crime was reported
appropriately to Okpoko police division but Hon. Ezenwanma intervened by bribing the police with ‘ghana must go bags –Ā Ā and
the vigilantes arrested in-connection with the crime allegedly escaped
through the backdoor.

The rice valued at over N5000, 000 were suspected toĀ have been taken
late that night, despite the fact that a local vigilante was on duty at
the point the shop was bungled.

chairman, he snubbed this reporter.

When contacted, the DPO in charge of Okpoko Police Division said he
was hearing the case for the first time even as he promised to look
into the matter, noting that he inherited the case from his
predecessor.
