The suspect, Mr. Johnson Abea from Ezeagu, Ishielu, Ebonyi, who was among the over thirty suspected criminals paraded by the Enugu State Police Command yesterday for various crimes, told newsmen that dealing in fake currency was not his forte but that he was doing it for a time.

Abea stunned journalists when he denied knowledge of the person that supplied him with fake currency.

The suspect was said to have served a prison term for the same offence.

His colleagues in crime, Henry Nwankwo and Sunday Oka claimed that they were not part of the trafficking business but were roped in because they were his relations.

Another suspect paraded by the police, Mr. Ajayi Eson from Oka KoKo in Ondo State who said he was a motor mechanic in Makurdi, Benue State was caught with a gun during a stop and search in Obollo Afor area but claimed it was a passenger in his vehicle that owned the rifle.

Among the suspects paraded were three young men, Emenike Onoyioma, Jude Mamah and Chinedu Mba from Umuezejor, Obollor Afor in Udenu Local Government Area of Enugu State. Their crime is kidnapping.

They allegedly kidnapped one Mrs Makata Elochukwu, her driver and a 60 year old man, Bernad Ameh and  kept them for four days in Nsukka.
