EFCC Arrests Emeka Mba In Fresh N15b Loot

Chairman, National Broadcasting Commission, Emeka Mba has been placed under arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Mba was arrested on Monday over N15 billion alleged fraud.
Reports have it that Mba has been on the watch list of the EFCC for almost two months.
Aside from the NBC chair, who was arrested, a number of staffs from the commission Finance and Accounts Department were also arrested.
According to a close source in the commission, EFCC, based on intelligent information embarked on intensive search of the account department.
The Buhari led administration since resumption to office had embarked on tough anti-corruption campaign to ensure stolen public funds are recovered.
Though, some quarters alleged the arrests and prosecutions have been one-sided, such that only members of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, we’re targeted.
Some of them include former National Security adviser himself, Col. Sambo Dasuki, Chief Raymond Dokpesi who is alleged to have received N2.1 billion. Others also include Chief Tony Anenih, PDP spokesman, Olisa Metuh, former governor of Sokoto state, Attahiru Bafarawa, Chief Olu Falae, Chief Bode George.
EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren could not be reached for confirmation of the report as his phone rang out several times without response; but a source hinted that the N15 billion may be related with the arms procurement fund that was allegedly shared among individuals.
