A staff of Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC) serving at Nsukka Unit of Enugu State Sector Command name (withheld) is now going interrogation in Nsukka police Area Command for alleged rape of 19-year-old girl in Nsukka.
A woman said to be about 50 years was also raped by a gang of boys in undisclosed community in Udenu council area of the state. The gang was alleged to have stabbed the woman after the rape assault.
Though the state police spokes person DSP Ebere Amariazu confirmed the alleged rape but said he is yet to receive full report on the matter.
According to him there is a reported case of rape of a 19-year-old girl in our Nsukka area command allegedly involving Road Safety personnel, but the details is yet to reach the state command.
It was gathered that the said 19-year-old girl went to drop message at the apartment when suddenly the alleged Road Safety personnel bounced on her and had canal knowledge of her.
When the zonal commanding officer RS9 Assistant Corp Marshal, Sam Obayemi was contacted on phone told our reporter that the alleged rape is still under investigation.
However, in another incident a 50-year-old woman was allegedly raped and stabbed all over the body by the gang in Udenu council area of Enugu state, Thursday.
It was gathered that the gang stabbed their victim hoping she will die to conceal the atrocity since the raped woman is suspected to have known them.
Our correspondent reports that rape of old women in Nsukka zone of Enugu state is no longer a news in the state unless for those who came to the state newly.
