The efforts of Governor Muhammed Abubakar to ridicule the past administration of Governor Isa Yuguda, has been described as a diversionary tactic from failure and a wild goose chase.
In a press release made available to 247ureports, leader of National Probity Forum, Usman Bakaro stated that the APC administration in Bauchi state has lost focus and direction on how to move the state forward, it has instead, concentrated more on trying to ridicule the Yuguda administration that served the state with concern.
According to the release, while the APC administration is busy setting up various committees for the hatchet job, beneficiaries of the Yuguda administration are jubilating, the failure of governor Abubakar to provide service.
“He assumed office with vendetta. He has nothing to offer to the electorates other than ridiculing an administration that served diligently. He has betrayed the trust of the electorates through his actions as a governor. He has not kept to any of his promises but continue to ridicule Yuguda and his administration without a genuine purpose.
“Yuguda provided the international airport Governor Abubakar uses. It was Yuguda who provided the needed peace in the state that warranted a peaceful conduct of elections. Yuguda has done more than what his detractors say in service to the people.
“Governor Muhammed Abubakar is a wrong choice and should be carefully monitored by concerned groups as his body language seem to be corrupt and selfish
“In all the appointments he made, he was more concerned with his relations and errand boys including the recent list of commissioners. The man has nothing to offer the state other than deceit and support to sharp corrupt practices”, he said
Bakaro added that if Yuguda had squandered “N91 billion” on security for eight years as alleged, for his seven months in office, how much has Governor Abubakar spent from the security vote, his various travels, maintenance of Government House, purchase of SUVs for State House of Assembly members and contracts?
The social critic described the APC administration as a conduit pipe of draining public resources under the guise of service, “Governor Abubakar said he met an empty treasury but he had money to travel to Czech Republic and other places. He said he inherited an empty treasury, but he has the funds to maintain the Government House at a monthly grant of N80million. He said he inherited an empty treasury but he has the funds to award a 4-kilometre road at over N2billion to a mushroom company that lacks equipments for the job. It is a 419 administration. The investigation of Yuguda and several petitions to EFCC will not add value to the already failed administration”, he fumed.
