The All Progressive Congress [APC] may have won the presidential elections of 2015 along with the majority of the State in Nigeria but recent information made available to 247ureports.com obtained from a secret APC document reveals that the APC sits uneasy with the remainder of the states in the control of the opposition party – the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP].

According to the 15-page document tagged “Political Penetration: South South/North Central Strategy Plan” dated August 2015, the APC are set to ‘penetrate’ to the said regions utilizing the might of the presidency and its ability to subvert the tenets of democracy and possibly abuse the power of the office of the presidency.

One of the leader of the APC, the Governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Aminu Waziri Tambuwal considered  the need to penetrate into the South South States a national security issue. In the words of the document – on page 13, first paragraph “The Sokoto State governor describes the situation as a security threat to the nation, to have Rivers state, Bayelsa state, Akwa Ibom state, Ondo state, Abia state and Delta state in the hands of the PDP. He wants the party to move with speed in the matterand treat as case of national security.

The APC document detailed its plans to gain Bayelsa State in the win column. Specifically, on page 7, it itemized her plans as – removal of the current commissioner of police – because the current police commissioner may have enjoyed a relationship with the incumbent governor; the replacement of the AIG of police Zone 6, Calabar “who they fear may not be friendly”; the replacement of the current DSS director; replacement of state INEC commissioner and depolyment of electoral officers and senior presiding officers from other states. President Buhari was asked to not attend any of the political rallies because it “would not be helpful”. The APC document also request of the presidency “to enlist Muhammad Sirajo as the chairman of the tribunal” should in case the PDP loses the election and choses to head for the tribunal.

The APC document also made revelations on it plans to take Rivers State in the win column. It revealed that former Amaechi had been preoccupied with lobbying the president – through the Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari and Lawal Kazaure – for the removal of Justice Muazu Pindiga who was the head man at the governorship election tribunal – to be replaced with Justice C. N. Anwuka. According to the document, Amaechi “was not asking for too much from the presidency. He was not asking for the APC candidate to be declared winner of the election, he only wants the April election to be cancelled and a rerun conducted”. The document also indicated that the President promised to look into the demands of the former Rivers state governor – particularly since he was the one who single-handedly funded the gubernatorial elections of Benue, Plateau, and Sokoto state.
