Former Kogi State first lady, Amb. Aisha Abubakar Audu-Emeje , who is wife of the deceased All Progressives Congress Gubernatorial candidate, Prince Abubakar Audu, on Sunday described the late Audu as a shining light.
She said Audu would continue to shine, while canvassing for a global recognition for her late husband.
Aisha Abubakar added that ‎her late husband deserved being recognised into the Guinness Book of Record.
Her words, “Prince Audu was a shining light and he kept shining until he left the world. He is a true winner and he will always win no matter the result.”
She spoke at the ‎8-day prayer held for late Prince Abubakar Audu at the Ansar-ud-Deen Mosque in Abuja.
‎Audu described the late Audu as someone who made an indelible impact in Nigeria’s politics and among his people.
According to her, his death is a lesson to everyone both young and old to live an impactful life.
Earlier, the clergy, Imam of Ansar-ud-Deen Central Mosque, Abuja‎,Ustaz Musa Olaofe ‎praised the deceased.
He said, “Prince Audu believe death is inevitable. He is a Muslim. Prince Audu believe in Allah, what Allah will do and what Allah was going to do before he left.
“If you go through history especially what you read on the newspaper, he struggled to be there to ensure that he perform his last assignment.”
“We must understand that life should be taken simply.”
The clergy urged people to have the fear of God.
He said Allah is capable of taking anything away from people irrespective of how dear they could be.
“We are from Allah, we shall return back to Allah. Your car, family and even your children will not stop death from coming close to you.
“You can only bless the deceased with prayer and Sadaka. What happened to him will surely go round. Allah who forgive sins, will forgive him and allow him enter into paradise,” he added.
