About 16 National Executive members of the All Progreseives Congress (APC) are currently swimming in trouble water following the allegation of bribe they collected to organized a favourable mock election to support both Senator Ahmed Lawan and Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila.

Unfortunately, both preferred candidates of the party lost yesterday at the floor of both chambers.

The NEC members were said to have collected undisclosed amount from one of the National leader of APC to ensure the emergence of his preferred candidates.

A dependable source told our reporter that when other NEC members got to know about the bribe, excluding then they hurriedly back out from the game plan and looked elsewhere.

The reporter gathered that the party secretly held a meeting last night where it was agreed to sanction all the NEC members perceived to have betrayed the party.

It was gathered that some National Assembly members who attended a meeting called by the president to resolve the NASS crisis early in the morning on Monday, were openly telling the National Chairman to tender his resignation following the lost.

Meanwhile the National Secretariat of APC is still in mourning mood as most of the party stalwarts are still wearing the mood.

When our reporter visited the Secretariat located at Blantyre street, Wuse 11 today in Abuja, the usual activities were temporarily suspended.
