APC Govt. To Inherit N104 Bllion Liabilities In Jigawa

Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa state has announced that his administration is leaving a liability of N104billion Naira. This comprise of N90b for uncompleted various roads construction, contractor’s liabilities, among others.

Others include Dutse International Airport projects N14 billion, Hadejia Eastern bye-pass road, Gagarawa-Bosuwa-Maigatari, among others.

Speaking during the final state Executive Council meeting headed by him at the Govt. House Dutse, he announced the handing over of the affairs of the state to the state Secretary to the government, Alh. Lawal Abdu.

Governor Lamido stated that his major achievement in office was the restoration of self confidence in the state civil service, restructuring of the state civil service through injecting descipline, boost of staff morale, and restoring the state service fading glory.

Others include prompt payment of salary as at when due, pegging the number of inherited 76 ministries to a reasonable number of 15, provision of solid structures with an enabling working envoironment, among others.

Also said his government restored prevelance peace and stability in the last eight years. He thanked the people and civl servants of jigawa state for their tolerance, hard work, and commitment for his success.

He called on the people and the civl servants to extend these same gesture to the in-coming government for its success.

Furthermore, he stated that the SSG will from now over see the state up to midnight of May 28 for the final exit of the present administration. Also enjoined members of the state EXCo to unite, and co-operate with the SSG who is now the Acting governor of jigawa state.

After his final assignment, the Governor aboard a plane to Saudi Arabia for lesser Hajj(Umra) He was expected back to the country in two weeks time.
