The Anambra South Senatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) in the coming general election, Chief Chris Uba has described the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Gen Muhammed Buhari as unfit to seek the votes of the Idenmili voters based on his past records.
According to him, “the APC as a party or it’s candidates has no justification to seek for your votes because of the numerous atrocities of Gen Buhari when he was head of state.”
He noted that, “he arrested and sent our own son Dr Alex Ekwueme to prison, who was the Vice President as at 1983, but simply placed his own brother the then President Shehu Shagari under house arrest…”
Chief Uba also said he is a longtime friend of Idenmili people, and that he looks forward to a 100% votes for the PDP from both the Idenmili North and South in the coming election.
The party leader used the occasion to formally introduce the party’s candidates for the National and state Assembly elections? He urged them to vote massively for the candidates, especially President Goodluck Jonathan, Senator Annie Okonkwo for the Anambra Central Senatorial seat and Chief Charles Odedo for the House of Representatives, and others.
Senator Okonkwo who is seeking a return to the Upper Legislative chambers he once occupied promised them more democracy dividends when he wins.
The candidate for the House of Representatives, Chief Odedo expressed immense joy that all PDP members who initially left were now back to the party, thereby making Anambra state a PDP State once again. He therefore thanked them for standing tall for the party.
He said he was happy and grateful for the good work of Chief Uba has been doing for the party and its members in the state, he therefore vouched their full support for him and all the PDP candidates in the Feb 14 general elections.
