Boko Haram: Again, INEC Postpones Distribution Of PVCs In Borno

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), for the 4th time, has postponed till further notice, the distribution of Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs) in 12 peaceful local government areas of Borno state, the exercise which was scheduled to take place on 12th December, this year.

Our reporter in Maiduguri reports that INEC Public Affairs Officer, Mr. Tommy Magbuin, has once again announced that INEC in Borno state has issued another postponement of the distribution of PVCs and continuous registration till further notice, by orders from INEC Headquarters in Abuja.

247ureports.com recalls that it was last month during a sensitization tour in Maiduguri, the INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner in Borno State, Professor Tukur Sa’ad said the INEC will consider only 12 local government councils which have relatively peace. The local councils identified for the exercise represents 50% of the total number of voters in the state.
