The much awaited Primaries of the National Assembly  of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) may have been shifted following the non-conclusion of the House of Assembly primaries of the party billed for Wednesday, December 3, this year.
Investigations by our correspondent revealed that confusion trailed the House of Assembly primary as different lists surfaced for the conduct of the exercise forcing some constituencies to refuse the conduct of the exercise in the areas.
It was gathered that the exercise did not hold in Orumba North State Constituency as protesters refuse the leader of the exercise to distribute the materials for the primary due to absence of authentic list of delegates.
Unlike Orumba North, the primary held in Orumba where one Onwuka is said to be giving the incumbent, Princess Nikky Ugochukwu a tough time.
In Aguata, there was clashes by supporters of opposing groups as to which of the lists should be used.
Awka South 1 conducted election which was one by pharmacist Godwin Nnamdi Okafor, but his opponents are crying foul that the list used for the exercise was doctored.
In Anaocha State constituency, where the national chairman of the party, Chief Victor Umeh hail from, similar confusion trailed the exercise.
It was gathered that Dunukofia State Constituency could not go ahead to conduct the primary as there was confusion over which of the three delegates lists that where flying should be used.
As at the time of going to the press, the situation in Njikoka was not clear as supporters of the opposing aspirants amassed at Sea World Hotel and Enugu-ukwu Civic Centre to take up the challenge if it arises.
The inconclusive nature and  non conduct of the House of Assembly primary, it was learnt, may affect APGA’s determination to go on with the House of representatives primary billed to hold Thursday, December 4.
Efforts are being made to take a quick decision on the controversies surrounding the inconclusive primaries while no officer of the party could confirm when the new daye for the National Assembly primaries.
