The Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere has called for extension of the period of collection of Permanent Voters Card following delay in the start-off of the exercise.

He made this statement in his home town, Achi Mbieri in Ezinihitte Ward, Mbaitoli Local Government Area after collecting his Permanent Voters Card.

Speaking to the Journalists after the exercise,  he called on the people of Mbaitoli and the good people of Imo State to ensure that they collect their PVC, which he described as a civic responsibility of every patriotic Nigerian.

Speaking further, he described participation of the citizenry in electoral process as the key towards realizing good leadership and good governance in democracy.

He however reminded the people that power belongs to them as they have the power to voting in their choice leaders and voting out any politician that is short of their expectation in culture and character. He also frowned at those who sell their right for peanuts. “Remember, whosever sells his right for peanuts will definitely lose out on the pay day as such politicians will definitely disappoint you,” he enthused.
