Auto Crash Leaves 3 APGA Officials Dead

No fewer than three officials of the Imo State chapter of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, were reported dead while five were in critical condition in a road accident Thursday evening.

 

According to APGA sources, the ill-fated accident when some of the APGA State Executive members were returning from the party’s national secretariat, Abuja after accompanying a governorship aspirant, Mr. Okey Eze to purchase his governorship nomination form.

 

It was learnt that the hummer bus they were travelling in, had a head on collision with another vehicle, thereby resulting to the fatal crash.

The incident, it was learnt, happened between Delta and Edo state boundary at Ubiaja leading to loss of several lives of Imo citizens.

The deceased, 247ureports.com gathered, include the party’s publicity secretary, Chief Tony Mgbeahuruike; state auditor, Mr. Obinna Ibeh; and ex-officio, Uche Okeke.

When our correspondent visited the state party secretariat, the state chairman of the party, Barr. Peter Ezeobi was seen shedding tears while other party executives and other stakeholders were discussing in hushed tones.

It was gathered that the governorship aspirant gave the contingents money for flight but they decided to travel by road.
