Police Kills Two Notorious Robbers In Enugu, Others Flee With Bullet Wounds

The Enugu Police command has said that two notorious  armed robbery suspect belonging to a gang that have been terrorizing Enugu and environ were on Thursday killed by operatives of the command, at Akagbeugwu community,in Nkanu West local government Area of the state.
The state police public Relations officer PPRO, Ebere Amarizu, who disclosed this to Journalist in Enugu, said  they were killed during a gun dwell with the police who invaded their hideout, following  a reported case of a  snatched Toyota Camry car by the gang.
Amarizu, also  noted that two other members of the gang escaped with bullets wounds, according to him, the gang had robbed the owner of the Camry car [name withheld] at gun point and also dispossessed him of an undisclosed huge amount of money.

“Acting on a distress call, the operatives of the Enugu state command were able to be guided to the direction of movement of the gang by public spirited individuals, consequent upon which they were traced to the hideout”.

‪ The command spokesman, further said “the police men  engaged the criminals to a gun duel in their hideout, which led to the death of two among them while another two escaped with bullet wounds.

“After the gun battle, the police was able to recover the snatched Toyota Camry car from the criminal’s hideout and a pump action gun”.

“Other materials recovered included two black berry phones and an amount of money believed to have belonged to the owner of the Toyota Camry, which they collected from him at gun point, at the time of snatching his car.
“The command in it’s efforts to apprehend the fleeing members of the gang, has appealed to members of the public and every hospital management in the city to report any person with suspected bullet wounds to the police before treatment, so as to determine the source of such wound”. Amarizu stated
