Reaction Of Prince Abubakar Audu To The Allegation By Mr. James Ocholi (SAN)

Our attention has been drawn to a press conference addressed by Mr. James Ocholi (SAN) that there is chaos in Kogi State chapter of All Progressives Congress in which he also accused Prince Abubakar Audu of being responsible

for the crises. Not done Ocholi also accused Audu of being the chief campaigner of the incumbent Governor of Kogi State, Captain Idris Wada whose tenure ends in January 2016. If we may ask: Campaign for what? In essence, he was accusing Audu of anti-party activities and that because of Audu, APC can’t win Kogi State in 2015.

OUR REACTION…

James Ocholi is not only sick but equally suffers from congenital abnormality. Having suffered outrageous calamitous political failure, Ocholi is seeking for relevance through the instrumentality of the political capital and credibility of Prince Abubakar Audu.

I want to state unequivocally that the APC in Kogi is big, strong and reliable. No faction, no fracas and no iota of crisis. We held an elaborate state-wide meeting on Sunday September 14 2014 under the indefatigable and indomitable leadership of the opposition leader in Kogi State, Prince Abubakar Audu.

The myopic, porous, parochial and intellectually stagnant imaginary crisis that only exists in the head of Ocholi is not only false but also a dream. Suffice therefore to say that a party in crisis will not on September 22 (this month) welcome credible decampees numbering over 5,000 from the Peoples Democratic Party, amongst whom are two former acting governors and Speakers of Kogi State House of Assembly, namely: Chief Clarence Olafemi and Hon. Bello Abdullahi. Others are Chief John Odawn who was PDP State chairman in Kogi State for 9 years; four serving members of the  State House of Assembly and 9 former Local Government Chairmen.

My question therefore is if political and democratic progression is what Ocholi refers to as crisis, then the legal profession is in crisis. I also see the claim by Ocholi that he is the Deputy National Legal Adviser of APC as an act of impersonation, falsehood and naked lie. My advice to James Ocholi as he celebrates his political obituary, is to retire back to his chambers and concentrate on what proper SANs do. When the battle is lost, slander becomes the only tool of the loser. APC will not only win all the state and National Assembly seats, but also the governorship of Kogi State. My task for Ocholi is to identify one credible leader in Kogi State that associates with him.
