According to the information gathered, the soldiers stationed at the central market had suspected a vehicle believed to be carrying explosives along Kano road by Taiwo road. The soldier attempted to stop the vehicle for the driver of the suspect vehicle sped off – causing the soldier to put a hot chase along Kano road. As the soldier pursued the suspected vehicle, the market occupants took to their heels.
The roads leading to the market has since been blocked by the military.
