…project presence determined by political personalities
Indigenies of Nkpologu Community in Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State has cried out to the member presenting their consistency at the Federal House of Representatives to quickly complete the motorized bore-hole cited at the Cottage Hospital, Nkpologu.
The natives who converged at the cottage hospital, spoke through a security personnel at the centre, Mr. John Dieke, of Ugbene-Achala, Ejona, village, 71, bemoaning the shabby effort of Mrs. Stella Ngwu, member representing Igbo-Etiti/Uzo-Uwani Federal Constituency at the House Representatives saying, “the depth of the drill is merely sixteen ft, while this one(pointing at the one completed and functioning done by Community Social Development Project,CSDP, of Enugu State Government) within five wards from were CSDP bore-hole was dug eighty-nine ft deep.
“We observed that it is not functional because the depth is nothing to write home about. They just mounted the over-head tank, installed the water pumping  machine and mounted a conspicuous signpost of the project indicating that it is operational.
“Since 2012 the project commenced, our community have not tasted a cup of water from the facility. It exists on the signpost there, at the entrance gate of cottage hospital.
Regretting the antics of politicians, the septuagenarian compared the consistency project with that of CSDP revealing that, “the entire community relies on the CSDP bore-hole which is functioning optimally.
“I have been working here since 2009. I will not say what I did not see. The Stella Ngwu bore-hole never worked because the depth were the water will be accessible was not dug.
“No other person can say it authoritatively than me. There is no bore-hole here done by consistency project.
Continuing, he revealed that the dysfunctional state of the bore-hole project initiated by the the former Post Primary School Management Board Chairman,(PPSMB),has teared political leaders of the community apart insisting that projects are not evenly spread to better the lives of the people which it is meant for.
