In less than a week when the Caretaker Committee Chairman of the PDP in Zamfara Alh Adamu Danja told journalists in Gusau that, more Commissioners, Special Advisers and Director Generals in the cabinet of Governor Yari are decamping to PDP not many takes his statement serious until today when 3 Director General formally tendered their resignation letters and joined the opposition PDP in the state.
They are Shehu Adamu Yanware Directorate of Inter Party Relations, Mustapha Sani Bukkuyum office of the Executive Governor as well as Haruna Mohd Jangebe Directorate of Non governmental Organizations.
The three lawmakers who made the complimentary copy of their resignation letter available to the News Men in Gusau noted that, they have decamped to the opposition PDP after losing confidence in the leadership of Yari and his party APC.
Briefing news Men in Gusau the former Director General Directorate of Non Governmental Organization Alh Haruna Mohd Jangebe told Journalists that during the 2011 general elections he contributed over 2 Million Naira to the campaign of the then ANPP that produced the current state leadership but in return he has not gained half of what he has invested and could not even recruit messenger for the benefit of his constituency.
His counterpart from the office of the Executive Governor,Mustapha Sani Bukkuyum noted that, for the past three years he has no schedule at the state government house and was left roaming the street of the government house as DG.
Mr Yanware, explained that for the past three years when he was made the Director General the governor did not consider his advise and was rendered as ceremonial political appointee who is awaiting salary at the end of the month.
They explained that their defection to the opposition PDP is the best decision to help save democracy and noted that they were seven in numbers and four others will declared their defection formally to PDP tomorrow Wednesday.
Their defection has no doubt open another Pandora box between the ruling APC and the opposition PDP in Zamfara and that further confirmed the position of the caretaker committee Chairman of the PDP that they are In talking term with the members of the Yari’s cabinet who will soon abandoned him and joined the PDP.
