Obiano Issues Red Card to Bandits in Anambra, Moves to Restructure Vigilante Groups

Striving to restore the dignity of Anambra State by making the state a conducive environment for the citizenry and people coming into the state to transact one business or the other, His Excellency, Chief Willie Maduabuchukwu Obiano has lunched a total war against the men of the under world as he has directed security operatives made of Army, Navy, Department of Security Services, DSS, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA and Police were commissioned to flush out the bandits without delay.

 

In accordance with the directive of the governor, the joint force of security men last week swung into action as they lunched an attack at the notorious Upper Iweka where not less eight bandits who thought it was business as usual were said to have met their waterloo as they decreased to the super power of the military bullets.

 

The move that has remodeled the Upper Iweka and its environs has received commendations from far and near for the governor. Speaking on the development, Mr. Chinedu Ekwuno (JP) from Obosi in Idemili North Local Government Area said Governor Obiano started on a good slat, stating that by the move so far, the sky is the limit of AnambraState. Ekwuno calls the people of the State to support the programmes of the governor as Obiano according to him is poised to move the state to a grater height.

The governor according to source has also directed the police authorities in the State to with almost urgency, retrieve all the rifles in the hands of the vigilante group operatives across the State and properly screen those to be used with arms as members of Anambra State Vigilante Group, AVG.
