Barely one month after the inauguration of harmonization committee of the All Progressives Congress(APC), a major crack has surfaced in the party.

This followed the recent nomination and appointment of commissioners and members of the state executive council by Governor Rochas Okorocha without including any member of the Achike Udenwa’s Action Congress of Nigeria(ACN).

According to some top members of the APC loyal to former Governor Udenwa, the release of names of commissioners by Governor Okorocha was an indication that they would not work with the governor in the party.

According to them, the admission of Governor Okorocha in the party had created some level of mistrust within the ranks of the party.

The reason, they alleged, was that Governor Okorocha had refused to allow any member of the ACN occupy any position in the interim party executive untill they look an internal battle to his door step before he conceded the position of Interim Secretary to their camp being held Capt. Lambert Iheanacho.

They also alleged that the governor would unilaterally appoint only members of his Agenda Structure as Interim excos of the party at the ward and local government levels.

They regretted that the admission of the governor in APC was a political miscalculation, lamenting that it was because of the governor’s greedy attitude that no prominent politician in the state has joined the APC since the party’s registration.

The aggrieved APC members promised the governor a hell of rein in the party in the state, saying “with this kind of attitude, we cant allow him to have his way in 2015. We’ll present a credible governorship candidate to Imolites”

Meanwhile, one of Achike Udenwa’s loyalists and former member of the House of Representatives, Chief Chukwudi Mayor Eze, has declared his interest to displace Governor Okorocha in 2015.

247ureports.com gathered that Chief Eze’s declaration was not unconnected with Governor Okorocha’s sidelining of Chief Udenwa’s loyalists in APC.

He told  a local tabloid, Announcer Express, weekend that his intention to govern the state was to make a significant difference.

Chief Eze who is a former executive chairman of Orlu LGA, urged the people of the state to ignore zoning and vote for competence, credibility and capability
