The Anambra state governorship candidate of the Labour Party(LP), Dr Ifeanyi Ubah has said he’s going to establish liaison offices in major cities of the world as a way to galvanize and harness meaningfully the contributions and development of Anambra people in the diaspora, back home.
Describing Anambrarians as global citizens, doing business and living in various parts of the world, “we will establish liaison offices in major cities of the world”.
Tagged Anambra International Liaison Programme, would harness the global resources of our people in the diaspora. According to him, “we encourage the best and the brightest among them to come back home and provide much-needed professional and technical assistance in certain areas of our corporate existence as a state.
Dr Ubah who has at various times intervened on behalf of indigenes of the state who may be in dire need of a big brother role in other states or parts of the world either as individuals or as a group, assured that the our people in the diaspora will surely be carried along under his administration.
H stated that their welfare, peace and security in their places/countries of residence would be of utmost concern and preoccupation under his watch as governor. “We will also encourage them to contribute them to contribute meaningfully to the development back home in our dear state. We will assist those of them with specialized skill or investment capabilities who want to return home to Anambra to acquire dwelling homes at affordable rates.”, he emphasized.
