Information reaching 247ureports.com indicates that the Igwe of Awgbu, H.R.H Igwe Mike Okechukwu, Eze di Ora Mma II was kidnapped in Awka today’s evening [Sunday] around 6pm.
According to the information received, the Igwe of Awgbu was kidnapped as he took his wife to a hospital in Awka to receive medical attention. The Igwe was kidnapped while he sat in his new sport utility vehicle [SUV] recently donated by the State Governor, Mr. Peter Obi.
The Police Public relations officers confirmed the kidnap incident to 247ureports.com.
Igwe Okechukwu is the second Igwe of Awgbu. Awgbu is located in Orumba North Local Government Area [LGA] in Anambra. It shares common boundary with Agulu, Mbaukwu, Umuawuru, Amaetiti, Amaokpala, Oko and Nanka.
